Warren Head for Sheriff

Meet Warren

I was born in a small town in Texas, and when I was 16 years old my family and I moved to Michigan. I graduated from Marine City High School and shortly thereafter I enlisted into the US Air Force where I served as an Air Policeman stationed at Travis Air Force Base in California and Tempelhof Air Base in Berlin, Germany. This was the start of my career in law enforcement – a journey that has since passed through the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office, the DoD, the US Marshals Service, and now as the Chief of Police of the Yale Police Department.

The Sections Below Aim To Answer, “What’s in it for me if Warren gets elected, and how is he different from our current Sheriff?”

Citizens of St. Clair County

I aim to lead a service-oriented law enforcement organization. This means holding the Sheriff’s office to a high standard of integrity and transparency…

Sheriff’s Office Employees

Through my experience, I’ve learned that a law enforcement organization is most effective when their officers or deputies are well-trained and free to perform their duties…

Inmates

Maintaining a safe and orderly county jail is one of the primary missions of the Sheriff’s Office – and that safety should be afforded to both our Correctional Officers and the inmates…

Learn about my stance on the key issues facing law enforcement today.

Recruitment and Retention

Recruiting and retaining police officers has proven to be a significant challenge for departments nationwide. This is driven, in large part, by a national environment that is very hostile towards law enforcement…

Government Transparency and Accountability

I am a firm believer in conducting our business honestly and holding ourselves accountable. In addition to improving our Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request response time, have always maintained an Open-Door policy…

Integrity

I believe that one of the core tenets of a free society is the ability of the citizenry to trust their elected and appointed government officials. Unfortunately, we’ve seen a breach of this trust within the highest ranks of the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office…

Second Amendment Rights

I believe it is incumbent upon the Office of the Sheriff to protect and defend our right to keep and bear arms – even if that means defending against our own state and federal government agencies…

Immigration

Legal immigration into the United States is a wonderful and valuable opportunity afforded to those who have applied and been selected through the lawfully enacted immigration processes. Unfortunately, we’ve seen an enormous influx of illegal immigration…

Civil Asset Forfeiture

Civil asset forfeiture is the highly controversial practice of seizing property that is alleged to be part of a crime. The agency seizing the property may then keep or sell the property and the owners need not ever be arrested or convicted of a crime to lose their property…

Government Intervention

As stated in the Declaration of Independence: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are unalienable rights endowed by our Creator, and governments are instituted for the purpose of securing these rights…

Endorsements

I have known Warren for a number of years. He is a man of high moral character and a professional. He is a leader who will uphold the U.S. Constitution and the rights of the citizens.

– Mr. A Harrington

Chief Head has an impeccable resume. He is committed to upholding the Constitution, and will respect the rights of all individuals. We need honesty, integrity, and dignity in leadership. As Sheriff, i believe that Warren Head will serve our community with skill and professionalism.

– Libby Prill
